Amanda Diambri
Owner of Electric Collective Hair Lab
I am the proud owner of Electric Collective Hair Lab, but it has been such a journey to getting to this point. I always knew I wanted to pursue hair, I started cosmetology school in 2007 at the age of 18. I’ve worked in salons in and around the Highland Park area, during this time I became very involved in the hair industry.
In 2017 I became a platform educator for a very well known color line and was able to share my passion and knowledge with other artists around the country at hair shows and in salons. In 2021 I decided to take a chance on myself and open my own small salon suite at Salon Lofts in Highland Park.
Fast-forward to now? I have had the honor of teaching hair color internationally and continuing to educate in the US. I love everything that this industry has to offer. I specialize in creative color, blonding, and hair extensions!
My hope for the future is to find a team of like-minded artists who are passionate, creative, and inclusive. I want this salon to be a community, a hub for artist education, not just for my team but for any stylist that wants to join in on a class!

My love for beauty began with makeup, but I soon discovered by true passion for hair - the way it enhances not just a look, but also confidence. Now, as a stylist at Electric Collective, I specialize in personalized, lived-in color, blonding, creative tones, and low-maintenance styles for effortless beauty with less upkeep. My goal is to create hair that looks as good as it feels, helping my clients feel their absolute best.
I believe a salon visit should be more than just a service - it should be an experience that’s relaxing, uplifting, and full of good energy. I’m always learning and evolving, staying up to date with the latest techniques to bring fresh, beautiful results to every guest in my chair.
I can’t wait to welcome you into this space and help bring your hair goals to life!

I began my love for hair and artistry as a little girl. The idea of transforming a facial shape with a few snips of hair was enamoring to say the least. I always and forever will have a love affair with painting, shadow play and lighting. My belief in beauty and the beauty industry runs deep. My approach with hair and color will always be a natural approach for a lived in, low-maintenance look that’s customized to every client that sits in my chair. With close to 20 years of experience and education, this is something I deeply pride myself in. I truly believe every single person that sits in my chair contains a beauty unique to them and I find such joy bringing that out and watching them light up as we achieve a final look that is curated specific to them.
I have extensive education in blonding, gray blending, and a solid foundation in cutting, which I pride myself on. I credit my approach and education to George Flanary of George Salon in Evanston whom without, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
In the last two years, I became a single mom and decided that this last leg of my journey had to be for myself and my girls. I want to show them and myself that change is scary, but we’re strong and we got this. When you do things with love and a pure heart, there is no such thing as failure. I am so happy to be in an environment where we are positive, we are love, we believe in our craft and we are here for our clients.
